Introduction:
My name is Shantanu Sharma I’m from Chandigarh and I did my schooling and my graduation from Punjab and I did my graduation in electronics and communication engineering and I’m 2018 pass out. I have accumulated a total of five years of experience and for the last two years was in the software industry.
When did your coding journey start?
Post College only because a lot of opportunities are there in programming and so I decided to go with coding.
When did you get your first job?
My last company was Amdocs which is in Gurugram. Now through Cuvette I was placed in Techolution which is in Hyderabad
What was your profile at the last company?
The thing was through college, the company that I got was basically in the field of telecommunications and we were having a client in the US for whom we used to design They were called work prints and which were the designs for the fiber to fiber routes which were being placed in US so it was totally different from what I’m doing now so eventually I I thought that it was not the field for me and I got to know about Cuvette through Linkedin and I was given the opportunity to sit in placements so I cracked the company and I’m really happy.
How was your experience with the Placement Guaranteed Program?
It was a great experience! If you see the interviews and before the interviews the projects that the internal team gives you a good level and really differentiates you if you clear that and really test your skills and the interviews were also like two three rounds so they test you technically and see if you are fit for the companies. It’s a good training system. Eventually I was given opportunities in 3-4 companies so the last company I got selected for a 15 LPA package.
How did you get to know about the Placement Guaranteed Program?
The problem was that I was applying to a lot of companies and the ratio was like if I’m applying to 20 companies I was maybe getting a call from one company and the chances of hiring were very limited and even the package was not right compared to what I thought I could get. What was the process in PGP to be eligible for placements?
The main thing was that the project that I built first and cleared to get into the interview round. I then cleared the internal interviews and then only I was able to sit in placements. That grooming was really needed .
What are the key takeaways for Freshers in the PGP Program?
If the student is a fresher, they should thoroughly follow what the teachers are teaching throughout the course and it’s very important to grab the Concepts. I went through the recorded lectures for revision. I think that those lectures were really good and can give you a thorough understanding of the concepts and how to apply them so a fresher should definitely go through those videos or attend live lectures. Also there are DSA classes which are asked in placements so definitely a student should join them.
